Hi I’m Rebecca, your community Audiologist and owner of Echowell Audiology.

A chance opportunity in audiology opened the door to a career that I absolutely love, and am so passionate about. I have worked for national retailers in various roles as an audiologist from supervising students to regional training roles implementing and developing training courses in audiology. This then took me into management roles in audiology before getting the chance to work with one of the UK leading hearing aid manufacturers, before returning full circle and coming back to work in clinic.

I had always wanted to start my own practice and have had numerous opportunities with national franchises that I have always turned down. Why? Working closely with independent audiologist nationwide, I got to see what I felt was the real side of audiology, the side where you get to spend the time with your patients, counsel them on their hearing loss, help them understand and really guide them on their hearing loss journey. It is the side where the focus is on helping the patient, and not just hitting targets and making corporate machines hit their profit goals. As a passionate audiologist seeing this side really drove me to wanting to create this service for my own patients. I want to offer a space that is safe and welcoming, so people feel confident knowing that when they come in to see me, they are in safe and trusted hands. .

Leaving my hometown in February 2022 to relocate for a job was terrifying as that was the place I had called home for so long. After living in West Yorkshire for 18 months I found the wonderful town of Mapplewell, and this has been my home since November 2023.

Meet the rest of the Team.

  • Welcome to Echowell Audiology! Founded by Rebecca and I, we are dedicated to providing you with exceptional hearing care and an excellent experience. While Rebecca leads with her clinical expertise, I support the business mainly from behind the scenes, but don’t be surprised to see me on Reception or answering the phone and taking bookings. You will often see me around the clinic helping where needed, normally trying to keep our furry 4 legged office manager under control. I look forward to welcoming you to the Echowell Audiology community

  • Nora is our furry 4-legged office manager, she is waiting to greet all our patients with a wagging tail, she may not be the best at answering the phone, but she is on hand to provide some calming support when needed. Don’t worry if Nora isn’t your idea of a companion at your appointment, we can make sure it is her day off when you attend for any appointments.
